Wow, I feel so blessed to have had so many people come and support me for my farewell talk. And then come to lunch also! I am so thankful for everyone who came out, and even those who weren't able to make it. I am grateful to have you in my life, and I love you! I hope that these next couple years are wonderful to all of my loved ones as well. I want to send out a special thank you to all those who helped pull together an absolutely wonderful luncheon after the farewell:
Mark and Amanda and Kelly, Matt, and Abby,
My Aunt Annette and Uncle Dave,
Connie, Craig, and Amy Ellis,
My cousins Stephanie, Brandon, and Ian,
Mike and Terri Wilkin,
Brother Rupp (for allowing us to use the the building),
Lilian Ralphs,
My Aunt Kathy,
My Nanna,
My sister Sarah,
My Dad, and my wonderful Mom for all of her stressing and hard work.
I love you!
I am so excited to head out on my mission and be able to serve with all of my heart, might, mind, and strength! I cannot wait to be out in full force, and engulfed in the work of the Lord. The field is white, and all ready to harvest. The thought of changing people's lives, and teaching them the Gospel is exciting! I cannot wait to learn what I can in the MTC, and then head out to Cambodia to teach and preach the Gospel to the wonderful people who live there. My heart rejoices when I think of the possibilities that can be reached while doing missionary work, and serving an honorable full-time mission. I can't believe that the day has come so quickly; the day to fulfill my life-long dream. Ever since I was just old enough to sing that primary song, "I Hope They Call Me On A Mission," I have wanted to serve. I have grown! Maybe just a foot, and not two... but I believe that I am as ready as I will ever be, as I have been brought up in a wonderful home with parents who have loved and guided, as well as encouraged me. Also my brothers and sisters who have always been there for support. And my grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and other family who have always been there for me, and supported me in any way that they could. I am also thankful for the best friends I could possibly ever ask for. I cannot wait to serve the Lord more fully!
I love you guys!
Elder Alex Kuhn
